Composition and sonorous interpretation, visual composition, board of strings, keyboard, analogical modelling, sampler and sonorous captures
João Bento was born in 1980 in Fundão. Graduated in Arts at ESAD, Caldas da Rainha. Training in improvised music with the musician Greeg Moore and in Teramin with Pamela Kurstin. Participates in various meetings, and other festivals with own creations in video installation, live acts, performances and screenings. Between 2004 and 2006 coordinated the Project VS (experimental video platform for Portuguese and international). Co-creator and performer of Canal Zero project, Cinema Volante and “Sem título até Hoje” performance. Permanent representation in international screenings of experimental video: WKV-Wuertt.Kunstverein Stuttgart Museum, Videoteca Municipal of Lisbon, Documental Festival of Sarajevo Festival di nuove-Immagini dei new media - Torim - Italy.
Composition and sonorous interpretation, electric guitar, keyboard and programming
João Bastos, composer, was born in 1978, Montemor-o- Novo. He began his professional experience in sound design, lightning and stage machinery at Curvo Semedo theater in Montemor-o-Novo, integrating its technical team since 1998 to 2003 and taking over creation, assembly and technical performances as opera, dance, music and theater. In 2005, graduates on Jazz Drums, Jazz Harmony and Improvisation at Barreiro’ School of Jazz. Participates as a drummer in the first four editions of the Jazz Festival of S. Luís Theater with “Barreiro Jazz Ensemble”. Worked with the american composer Greeg Moore for the opening concert of the V Jazz Festival in Guarda with the band “Fanfarra Mand’je”. Musical compositions and live act music performances for theater companies as such CenDrev, BAAL17, Marionetas de Lisboa, Proprietário Azul. Direction member at the Oficinas do Convento - Art and Comunication Association.
Real-time image composition and sonorous composition
Rodolfo Pimenta was born in Sintra in the year of 1979. Since 1996, creates projects related to audiovisual, and has directed animated short films and documentaries. Co-director of Frame a Frame workshops, currently Oficinas Fotograma 24, developing projects for pedagogical work with children / young people, which results on several animation short films, some of them, awarded, nationally and internationally. At this moment is co-directing a documentary of Panasqueira Mine. Simultaneously, uses image as a visual and sonorous instrument, on Canal Zero project.
